About Me
When I started Epi-Ventures, I intended to reflect my personal experiences as I cooked and ate my way through Cincinnati.
But for me, Epi-Ventures has become much more. As a graphic designer by trade and now a writer and a culinary student at the Midwest Culinary Institute, I use the subject of food to communicate a connectedness we all share when we’re around a table. I am not only interested in exploring recipes and technique in the kitchen, I have a bottomless fascination in the people and restaurants that create Cincinnati’s vibrant food scene.
What you’ll find here are impressions of restaurants around town, experiences and techniques from culinary school, recipes found and executed in my beloved kitchen and profiles of the chefs, restaurant owners and people who make the food industry so interesting.
Along with my husband and hyper-active terrier, I live in a “painted lady” in Cincinnati’s oldest neighborhood, Columbia Tusculum.
Thanks to you (yes you) for indulging me as I go along. Your feedback means more than you could know.
