Cincinnati Food and Music Event With Concert: Nova

Gallice April 7, 2010

Just thought I’d let you all know about a very cool and unusual music and food event coming up involving Summit Restaurant and Via Vite.

Cincinnati-based chamber music ensemble concert:nova will give two performances on April 18 and April 19, 2010 in celebration of Earth Day’s 40th anniversary. The program, aptly named “Serving Up the Four Seasons: A Feast for the Eyes, Ears and Palate,” will combine the arts of music and farm to table cooking — a mélange of stimulation for the senses.

The first performance will take place at the Midwest Culinary Institute on Sunday, April 18 at 6:00 p.m. Dinner following the concert will be prepared by Chef Ed Swain and the Culinary Institute’s team at Summit Restaurant.

The performance on Monday, April 19 will be held at Via Vite Restaurant at 7:00 p.m. There, Chef Cristian Pietoso will craft a three-course menu based on the musical selections.

There will also be a video presentation “FROM EARTH TO TABLE” featuring Jean-Robert DeCavel, David Cook, Julie Francis and other local chefs. Tickets are $50 advance purchase and $75 at the door.
