Ok, so what I want to know is two-fold – did you get to sample any of his efforts toward perfection??? And if not, you and me and Kel need to go have a little taste in person! He sounds very cool (and demanding). But the kind of chef (and boss) that makes me want to change professions. Nice!!!

I enjoyed the article about Jose. It’s always inspiring to read about someone who is so passionate about their work. And, I’m impressed he is “on the line” every night. however, I hope he finds more time to spend with his young son as he grows up.

Superlative article! I’ve been to the Palace a few times and have always been impressed with both their food and service. However, I never really thought too much about what it takes to bring it all to fruition. Makes me proud to live and dine in this city. This is just so exhilirating and helpful to those like me who are always doing what it takes to get more and more people downtown. thank you!

Jose Salazar is a Culinary Genius! We went to the Palace for our Anniversary dinner and I had one of the best meals I have had in my lifetime! He was kind enough to come out to the table to greet us. What a humble perfectionist. A true artist, both visual and culinary. His food is exquisite, commands attention, and deserves much praise. I am so proud to have him here in our city and I haven’t stopped talking about the fine dining experience that “wowed” us so on our special night ever since! Thank you, Jose, for sharing your talent.
Great article! Love the insight. I actually have the privilege of learning and working first hand with Chef Salazar. We have really started doing some amazing food over the last year or so. A lot of it has to do with the nucleus Chef has built. It takes total team work and great leadership and we currently have that going for us at The Palace!
I commend Chef Salazar for taking such pride in his work. Having a high work ethic, striving for perfection is most admirable. I am only sorry I have not yet been to The Palace since he arrived. I shall have to correct that!
